10 Excellent Social Media Monitoring Tools for your Strategy

If you have multiple social media accounts you will know that it can be hard to manage them all at times. It is easy to update one account and then forget about updating the other accounts. However, it doesn’t have to be so difficult. There are a number of ways that you can manage all of your social media accounts so that they’re not so time consuming and daunting. There are a number of very handy social media monitoring tools that allows you to easily manage all of your social media accounts and social media strategy in the one place.

Here, in this post I’m going to show you what they are so get ready to learn how to make social media management easier.

10. Crowdbooster

Crowdbooster works by acquiring data from both your Facebook and Twitter news feeds. What this does is allow you to compile data that makes it easier for you to manage your social media strategy. For example, you will get data that will indicate when the best times to post statuses or tweets are. You will also be able to analyse impressions, total reach, and engagement. From there you will have enough information to modify your social media strategy based on what’s working and what is not.

This isn’t a free tool for you to use. The minimum monthly price you’ll pay is $9 per month and that allows for up to 50,000 followers for both accounts.

9. SocialFlow

Want to know what SocialFlow does? To put it simply, it tells you when the best time to send out your Facebook and Twitter messages is. SocialFlow works by using its own unique algorithm to find out a number of key factors regarding your Facebook and Twitter accounts. There are three factors that SocialFlow takes into consideration; your relevant message, right audience, and right time to publish content.

Essentially, it analyses those three factors to determine when the best time for you to publish your content is. After all, you want to be publishing your content when everyone (or at least most people) will see it. SocialFlow helps you do that.

This also isn’t free but they have a minimum flexible plan starting at around $99 per month.

8. Bitly

Bitly shortens links that are posted to your social media accounts and uses real time analytics so you can bookmark your favourite sites, pages, and track clicks. This is the first of the tools to help you manage your social media accounts that is free, and it works across multiple platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

7. Everypost

Everypost is a great app because it allows you to post all of your updates onto all of your social media accounts at the same time. This is simple and far easier than posting updates onto each account individually. All you need to do is write your message, add photos or videos, and hashtags then send them off to Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tumblr, or even via email. The great thing with this app is that you can do this all at the same time, saving you time on managing your accounts.

This also allows you to automatically shorten tweets so they’re under 140 words. Whilst there may be some technical glitches with this app it still comes in very handy, and what makes it even better is that it’s free.

6. Sprout Social

This is another great tool that will allow you to manage all of your accounts from the one location. This allows you to do several things at once like reply to messages on Facebook and Twitter, and also manage content with other social media accounts. The ability to monitor messages from across Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles all through a streaming inbox makes this one very handy tool to have. It also comes with your typical analytics component so you can visualise important metrics and get a feel for what’s working and what’s not.

This tool isn’t free but they do allow you to sign up for a free trial. If you like it once the trial is over you can pick from three packages at either $39, $59, or $99 per month. Whichever one you choose all depends on what you are looking to get out of your activity on social media platforms.

5. Buffer

Buffer is one of the most popular social media tools for business available because it allows you to share and schedule posts across your social media accounts consistently each day. It is extremely simple to use as well, all it takes is one click and you’re done. This tool works with four social media accounts; Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+. Not only is it extremely useful for sharing and scheduling content but it also comes with an analytics function so you can see what’s working and what isn’t.

Buffer is free, but not for long. You can, however, schedule posts ahead of time and it costs only $10 per month to schedule as many posts as you want. You can also use up to 12 social media profiles and have two team members assigned to the one account. This is a great tool for you to use if you want a solid way of managing your social media platforms.

4. Spredfast

Want to know how many people engage with your posts? Spredfast is the tool that you are going to love then. Spredfast measures data taken from Twitter, Flickr, Youtube, and Facebook. Once this data has been acquired it is assembled into easy to read graphs so you can analyse how many people have seen your posts and how many of them engage with your posts.

Not only that but it features being able to tell you when the best times for tweeting are. If you want advanced analytics for Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, and Youtube then this is a great tool to use.

3. Tweepi

If you are a fanatical Twitter user or you find Twitter for business daunting to use then this tool is perfect for you. Tweepi is a great social media management tool that will help you keep your Twitter business account under control. You will be able to flush unfollowers, cleanup inactives, reciprocate by following, and follow new and interesting tweets. This is a great way to keep your Twitter business account under control especially if you find managing Twitter marketing difficult. One negative for this tool is that it’s only for Twitter so you can’t use it for managing your other social media profiles.

There are two monthly payment plans that you can choose from, Silver at $7.49 and Platinum at $14.99. You can get it cheaper though by purchasing annually, where you’ll get a nice 17% off.

SocialOomph is not only great for Twitter though because you can use the dashboard to combine with Facebook, LinkedIn, Plurk, and your blog into the one spot so you can schedule posts or monitor social media activity.

They have a free app you can use but it’s worth upgrading to the paid “professional” version because it features far more useful tools that will boost your social media productivity.
